Alan

Every tour company needs an Irish man, and we are no exception - Meet Alan! Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he holds dual citizenship with both the United Kingdom and Ireland, which he likes to think makes him a gentleman with tons of ‘craic’ to share! He got bit by the travelling bug back in 2011 when he first went Interrailing around Europe, followed by another adventure in 2014. Falling head over heels for many sights and cities, Berlin was the place he loved the most! The combination of recent history and cosmopolitan lifestyle was too much to keep him away! He moved to Berlin over a year ago, and since then has been working not only as a tour guide, but also as a statistical analyst for a local professional sports team.

Artie

After finishing university in June 2017, Artie moved straight out to Berlin. Why? Because Berlin attracted him in a way that other cities hadn't attracted him (and he's travelled a lot). He has a passion for the history of the city, especially the Second World War and the Cold War. He wants to be a screenwriter, writing films about this stuff so he thought what better place to be than the city where it all happened. Artie was also attracted to Berlin by its nightlife. At weekends expect to find him in any one of the many kooky bars or clubs this city has to offer.

Lioba

Lioba, originally from Cologne/Germany, is addicted to living abroad. She spent time in China, Kenya and New York City. But finally she decided to settle down in her home country for a while. The tours are more than just a job to her: the history of Berlin and Germany have so many lessons in store that are still valid today, not just for Germany but for the world. She considers it to be important to keep the memory alive, tell people and educate them about it. And as a history geek, she loves having an audience for her historical fun facts. When she is not guiding people from all over the world through Berlin, she is a singer/actress. Since she studied in New York, it was hard to find a city that offers the same great international, metropolitan vibe. She loves about Berlin that you meet so many people from different backgrounds; the city as Europe’s melting pot. Museums, concert halls, theaters and dance events are where you will find her in her free time. Berlin always has something to offer for the people who are hungry for culture, art, music and history, and that is exactly why she loves being in this city with that long tradition and past.

Olamiju

Olamiju moved to Berlin for the summer…and ended up staying! A freelance writer, originally from London, she’s always loved art, culture, and music – incidentally, what she writes about! When studying The Cold War in school, her interest in Berlin started to develop, then on her first backpacking trip through Europe a few summers ago Berlin was the European capital that really stood out for her. She loved the eclecticism that oversaw every aspect of life, how the city’s history shaped it, and how friendly everyone was. Since deciding to stay, she’s been exploring the city’s many restaurants, cafés, galleries, and parks, finding something new to enjoy everyday! When she’s not guiding, she’s either writing for magazines in London, or studying German, and getting ready for university next year.

Rosalee

Rosalee has been a batty Brit-Berliner since 2012, and is looking for a legal loophole that will let her marry the Hauptstadt. For the time being she's having multiple passionate love affairs with the city's cooky little cafés, bars, theatres, galleries, cinemas, clubs, open spaces and secluded corners. Her friends are always mildly surprised that she covers so much ground, seeing as her legs are quite a bit shorter than your average human being's. Until she manages to be leading 24-hour Next City tours around Berlin, she writes texts about Berlin life and translates texts on grown-up topics. And she drinks about a litre of tea a day.
